The rebellious spirit

Individuals involved in witchcraft, divination, magic, sorcery, and spell casting have a rebellious mindset. Because disobedience is equated with the sin of witchcraft and intransigence with idolatry, KJV 1 Samuel 15:23a

Idolatry is one level, witchcraft is another, and rebellion is yet another in this terrible sphere. When someone stirs up trouble or revolts against spiritual or governmental authorities, this demonic spirit lords over them. It has jurisdiction over those who practice witchcraft, sorcery, enchantment, and idolatry of any kind, including obsession, hero worship, and veneration of graven images. When Lucifer and his fallen angels in heaven planned to dethrone God, that is when rebellion started. I ordained you to be a guardian cherub, and that is why you were anointed. You were walking among the flaming stones on God's holy mount. From the moment of your creation until sin was discovered in you, you were perfect in all that you did. You were full of aggression via your extensive trade, and you committed sin. Therefore, O guardian cherub, I drove you in shame from the Mount of God and drove you out from among the hot stones. Your splendour perverted your intelligence, and your heart grew arrogant due to your attractiveness. I therefore cast you to the ground and embarrassed you in front of monarchs. You have profaned your sanctuaries through your numerous transgressions and dishonest trade. Thus, in front of everyone observing, I caused a fire to emerge from you, engulfed you, and turned you to ashes on the ground. NIV Ezek 28:14–18

Then, there was a battle in Heaven, and Lucifer, who was referred to as "a guardian cherub," was expelled along with his fallen angels and descended to Earth. In heaven, there was also conflict. The dragon and his angels battled Michael and his group, while Michael and his group fought back. However, their position in heaven was lost because he lacked sufficient might. The enormous dragon, also known as the devil or Satan, who deceives the entire world, was cast to the ground. He and his angels were flung to the ground. NIV Rev 12:7-9

Once more, the dragon appeared in the garden as "the crafty serpent," tricked the woman, and instilled in her a spirit of disobedience. The serpent of today was more cunning than any field beast the Lord God had created. "Yeah, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree in the garden?" he asked the lady. The woman then said to the serpent, "We may eat of the fruit of the garden's trees. However, God has commanded that you not touch or eat of the fruit of the tree that is in the middle of the garden, lest you perish." The snake then replied to the woman, "You will not certainly die, for God knows that the day you eat thereof, your eyes will be opened, and you will know good and evil, just like gods." As soon as the woman saw that the tree was attractive to look at, had wonderful food, and could be used to grow wisdom, she took a bite out of it and shared it with her husband, who also enjoyed it. 3:1–6 in the KJV

"The fall of man" was that. Furthermore, after realising that his deceit had caused "the Fall," Satan claimed the right to "the dominion" that had been granted to humanity and sowed his "seed of wickedness and rebellion"—the "seed of the serpent"—into the world, eventually becoming Cain (I John 3:12). Soon after, the devil turned into the "prince of the power of the air," corrupting everyone on the planet via wickedness and disobedience. The spirit of rebellion against God was ingrained in the people of Israel, and it frequently infuriated God. Although God frequently delivered them, their sinful behaviour caused them to wither away. NIV Psalm 106:43

The false prophet Hananiah was told by the prophet Jeremiah that God would wipe him off the face of the earth because he had led the people to follow rebellious paths. The prophet Jeremiah died in the seventh month of that year (Jer. 28:1–17). Daniel's vision of "the little horn" states that because of rebellion—that is, the transgression of God's people—their abundant irreverence and ungodliness—a host, or God's people, was given to the evil horn, or the antichrist, along with the daily sacrifice, or the ongoing burned offering. And truth and righteousness were brought to nothing; with the help of God, the antichrist succeeded in doing this (the tiny horn). Look up Daniel 8:12.

For 2,300 evenings and mornings, this will occur (verses 13–14). However, first there would be the big apostasy or rebellion; the vast breaking away of many who claim to be Christians as promised; and the man of rebellion (sin) would be exposed (2 Thess. 2:3). This is supported by the following additional verse in the Bible: He will speak against the Most High, persecute His saints, and attempt to alter the laws and schedules. He will have the saints under his care for a time and a half. NIV Dan 7:25

Nowadays, the spirit of revolt rules, manipulates, or controls a great number of artists, including singers, actors, actresses, performers, athletes, and celebrities.

Under this domain, "the Jezebel spirit" is connected to religion and idolatry (see I Kings 16:31; 19:1-2; 21:25–26; II Kings 9:22). Today, "the spirit of Jezebel" works in many churches through false prophets and false ministers who teach idolatry and immorality to the people of God. But I have this against you: you put up with that Jezebel, this woman who styles herself a prophetess. She deceives my servants into engaging in sexual immorality and consuming food offered as sacrifice to idols through her teachings. She has had plenty of time to change her unethical ways, but she refuses. If they don't change their ways, I will hurl her into a bed of anguish and cause great suffering for those who have an affair with her. I'm going to kill her kids. At that point, every church will recognise me as the one who searches people's hearts and thoughts, and I will give each person back what they have done. NIV Rev 2:20–23

Individuals under the influence of "the Jezebel spirit" typically function within "the mystery of iniquity," "the diabolical mystery," and demonic delusions [the "deep secrets of Satan"]. Refer to verse 24.

The master of rebellion himself, Satan, is symbolised by the demon of rebellion.

How to defeat the rebellious spirit

We cannot obey Christ unless the Holy Spirit sanctifies us and sets us completely free from the spirit of rebellion. After then, we can experience spiritual filling, enabling us to lead Spirit-filled lives. If you are a follower of Christ, you were pre-selected by God the Father, who knew you would one day become His child. Additionally, as you read in 1 Peter 1:2, His Spirit has been at work in your heart, purifying you with the blood of Jesus Christ and assisting you in pleasing Him.

Jesus requested the Father for assistance in prayer while He was on Earth. He cried out in loud voices and tears to the One Who could deliver him from death, and because he trusted in God, his request was answered. Despite being the Son of God, Jesus learned obedience through his suffering. And because of His flawless obedience, He was able to offer everyone who obeyed Him eternal salvation. Thus, according to Hebrews 5:7–10, God the Father appointed His Son, Jesus, as a High Priest and a Priest in the order of Melchizedek.

We have been declared righteous—made acceptable to God and placed in a right relationship with Him—by His obedience. For just as many people were made sinners by one man's disobedience, so many more will be made righteous by one man's obedience. NIV Rom 5:19

You must understand that every guy has the ability to select his own master. You need to select your own master! Either choose obedience to God (which results in acquittal) or sin (which results in death). The person you give yourself to will accept you as his slave and become your master. Do you not realise that you are the servants of the one you submit yourself to be obedient to, be it obedience to holiness or sin to death? KJV Rom 6:16

God's Word says thus of individuals who have made The Holy One—the Lord Jesus Christ—their Master: Praise God that even though you once chose to live as slaves to sin, you now fervently adhere to the guidance God has given you. You are now slaves to your new lord, righteousness, and have been set free from your previous master, sin. TLB, Rom 6:17–18

They are now servants of the King of Righteousness, having been set free from their former master, sin.

However, the Bible states that if you follow morality, would you not be accepted by those who have decided to live as slaves to sin and under the authority of Satan, the master of sin? However, sin is lurking at your door if you do not follow the correct path; it wants you, but you have to conquer it." NIV Gen. 4:7

Be careful if you don't follow orders! Because sin longs to harm you and is only waiting to attack. You can overcome it, though!" Go to Genesis 4:7. People with a "rebellious spirit" are arrogant; sin is what makes the wicked joyful, and this is unacceptable in the eyes of the LORD (see Prov. 21:4). We are now in a good relationship with God because of His righteousness, but since sin is a reproach (see Proverbs 14:34), it must not be your master! (see Rom. 6:14); for righteousness cannot rule over people who are under the power of sin (v. 20). A person born of God is incapable of continuing to sin (I John 5:18). Eternal life is the gift given to those who serve righteousness (v. 22). Because sin results in death, but God offers us eternal life through His Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord. KJV Rom 6:23

We will be prepared to punish any act of disobedience when we are totally obedient to Christ (see 2 Cor. 10:6). We shall be given the ability to punish every act of disobedience if we genuinely obey the Lord and dedicate our lives to Him.

How then can we make this happen? The God of Peace will quickly crush Satan beneath your feet if you excel at doing good and remain innocent of evil (see Romans 16:19–20). As the Bride of Christ, the Church will be totally protected and prepared to chastise any and all disobedience once she is fully committed to Him.

The Church already possesses the divine power to crush ideas and everything lofty that exalts itself above the knowledge of God, but in order to truly subjugate all thoughts to Christ's obedience, the people of God must be fully surrendered to and obedient to Christ.
