Deaf and Dumb Spirit

‘And they were astonished beyond measure, saying, “He has done all things well. He makes both the deaf hear and the mute speak.' Mark 7:37 NKJV
There are many afflictions and diseases in the world today that are a direct result of demonic possession. The kingdom of darkness is wicked, and it always works to afflict humans with health problems in different areas and parts of their bodies. There are many diseases today that do not have a medical solution; such diseases are apparently of a demonic origin. While many do not believe that demons can cause difficult health problems, the Word of God gives us true and accurate information that demons can afflict [powerless and unprotected] humans.
However, there is a special kind of people that the devil is not permitted to afflict or torment, and these are God’s children—through faith in Christ Jesus. ‘We know that everyone who has been born of God does not sin, but the One (Jesus Christ) who is born of God keeps him, and the evil one does not touch him.’ 1 John 5:18 HCSB. Identifying a Deaf and Dumb Spirit
It is not difficult to identify a demon spirit in this category. When you see someone who is unable to hear or speak (usually without an accidental cause), a deaf and dumb spirit may be at work. When a mother gives birth to a child who, right from birth, is unable to hear or speak, it is also possible that this is the work of a demon spirit.
‘Then one was brought to Him who was demon-possessed, blind, and mute, and He healed him, so that the blind and mute man both spoke and saw. And all the multitudes were amazed and said, “Could this be the Son of David?” Matthew 12:22–23 NKJV
In the above Bible passage, we see that a demon was responsible for this man’s deaf and blind state.
Never tolerate demon activity in your life or home!
'"As He is, so are we in this world.’ 1 John 4:17 NKJV
Jesus never tolerated demonic activity wherever He encountered it because He had firsthand knowledge that all demons were of no good! A Christian, too, must not permit demons into his life. One great way to do this is to make sure your life is free of sin and [both spiritual and moral] filth, for those are the things that invite demons into one’s life.
Your Weapons of Deliverance and Victory
i. Faith
‘Then the disciples came to Jesus privately and said, “Why could we not cast it out?” So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.’ Matthew 17:19–20 NKJV
Your faith is the key to deliverance and victory. You must be confident in your heart that demons will obey you and flee when you command them to. Remember, faith does not keep silent; faith always speaks boldly and always acts confidently.
ii. Prayer and Fasting
‘[But this kind of demon does not go out except by prayer and fasting.]’ Matthew 17:21 AMP
Fasting and prayer have amazing benefits and hold great blessings for your spiritual life! It makes room for God’s supernatural empowerment in your life, makes your spirit stronger, and makes you more sensitive to the Spirit of God. Discernment is also a very important weapon, and the more you pray, the more you’ll be able to discern and get [whatever necessary] helpful information from the Holy Spirit of God to adequately deal with the deaf and dumb spirit.
iii. The Name of Jesus
‘Now John answered and said, “Master, we saw someone casting out demons in your name.' Luke 9:49 NKJV
Jesus’ name is more than just a 5-letter word! It is the only name that commands respect, power, and dominion in the invisible world [of the spirit]. Every demonic spirit hopelessly submits to the authority of Jesus’ name; that is why only those who believe in Christ Jesus can cast out demons in His name!
Wisdom Keys to Effectively Get Rid of a Deaf and Dumb Spirit
‘Or how can one enter a strong man’s house and plunder his goods unless he first binds the strong man? And then he will plunder his house.’ Matthew 12:29 NKJV
i. Bind the Strong Man
Jesus heals a blind and mute man who was demon-possessed and goes on to explain that this kind of demon is a strong one. This demon is strong because it is inside its victim and would quickly attempt to block the ears of its victim when you tried to cast it out. So, the first thing to do is to bind it in Jesus name. When it is bound, it will no longer be able to block its victim’s ears.
ii. Command the ‘Defeated’ Strong Man to Leave the ‘House’
The next step is to cast out the ‘now-bound’ demon from its victim. You do this by firmly ordering it to come out in the name of Jesus Christ. Make sure you address the spirit by its name or manifestation in its victim’s life. ‘When Jesus saw that the people came running together, He rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to it, “Deaf and dumb spirit, I command you, come out of him and enter him no more!’’ Mark 9:25.
iii. Plunder the goods
There are many kinds of goods, but the one most precious to God is a soul. The devil also likes to afflict the souls of men; when a person is blind, deaf, or dumb, certain areas of his soul will never be productive and optimized. So, after the demon that caused deafness and dumbness is cast out, now you need to speak to the deaf ear to open and the dumb tongue to be loosed in Jesus name!
Do this with faith and the boldness of the Spirit, believing that what you say will be done.
